Admit It: Rosé hasn’t been invited to your parties in a long time
If you secretly fear serving rosé at your party, this is for you (and me)! Once I tried this recipe I vowed to never exclude rosé from my summer parties. That's because we discovered the most refreshing way to drink it. Our recipe for Frosé (aka frozen rosé) is basically snow cones for adults. You're welcome.
And it’s simple to make in advance so you don’t have to disturb the party with the noise of a blender!
All you need is:
- your favorite rosé
- simple syrup
- a 9-by-13-inch baking dish
- spatula or spoon
- pretty glassware, paper straws and garnish
- Pour the rosé into a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Transfer to the freezer and freeze until relatively firm, at least 3 hours. It won’t freeze entirely, because of the alcohol level, but it should appear set on the surface.
- Use a spatula or spoon to scrape and stir the frozen rosé into smaller crystals. Stir in the simple syrup to taste. Top with glass with a paper straw and garnish and serve. Return the baking dish to the freezer and keep frozen until ready to serve seconds!
It’s Finally Okay to Admit You Like Slurpees & Slushies
Ok, I’ll admit, this is not so much an endorsement for rosé as it is a confession of my love for frozen Slurpees and Slushies. (Oh, and I also love making parties effortless because I want to enjoy the company of my guests once the arrive.) That’s why this recipe is so brilliant. You can basically use this TECHNIQUE to premix specialty cocktails and serve them up – frozen style! Just imagine the joyful sound of straws pulling slushy Pear Mojito, Mexican Mule, or Stawberry Bourbon Lemonades from the glass. I know, right?!
